The Best Christmas Brussels Sprouts

Brussel sprouts are the most hated part of Christmas dinner, but they can be really tasty if you jazz them up! So, keep reading for the best Christmas Brussels sprouts recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 16 Brussels sprouts
  • 1/2 a tin of chestnuts (chop them into slices)
  • 4 rashers of bacon
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1.5 tsp oregano
  • Salt and pepper
  • Olive oil

Method:

1. Add the sprouts to a frying pan and cover with boiling water. Bring it to boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for around 4 minutes. Check they are cooked by seeing if a knife easily cuts through, then drain them.

2. Once they have cooled slightly, chop the sprouts in half.

3. Next, fry the bacon and chop into small strips once cooked. Then add the halved sprouts, garlic, chestnuts and oregano. Fry this off for about 5-10 minutes (until the sprouts go crispy).

4. Next, serve up and enjoy 🙂
